DeBakey forceps have fine atraumatic rows of teeth along the jaw; ring tip forceps have small oval rings that grip vessels and grafts with less pressure. Many surgeons use both in one set.
A tying platform is a flat, often TC-coated area behind the tip that lets the surgeon grasp and tie fine sutures without changing instrument.
Titanium is about 40% lighter and non-magnetic — popular for long micro procedures. Stainless steel is the cost-effective standard.
